Hillary Clinton Jewelry
Inspiration for the Hillary Clinton Commemorative Pendant/Taliswoman
This special pendant was co-created with my long time friend and jewelry client, Susie Buell, a well know San Francisco based philanthropist who happens to be a personal friend of Hillary Clinton. Shortly before the convention, Susie had visited me in my little gallery and was inspired by another one of my pendants, 'Om Mani Padme Hum', which is a Sanskrit prayer. We discussed how meaningful it would be to make a commemorative piece for Hillary and for the Democratic National Convention, which Susie could give as gifts to campaign workers and friends.
The fabulous Meryl Streep gave a memorable and passionate speech at the recent convention, defining Grit and Grace and what it means to embody these qualities as a pioneering woman in this country. These words were inspired by a conversation between Susie and Meryl. The words 'Grit, Courage and Grace' referenced in Meryl Streep's speech are inscribed on the front and 'Love & Kindness' (two of my favorite words!) on the back.
These pendants have been personally gifted to many special people including Hillary Clinton herself, Meryl Streep, Huma Abedin, Arianna Huffington, Senator Stabenow and others. Many more are being purchased nationwide by those who would like to show their support for Hillary and have something commemorative to honor this moment in American history. These pieces have been lovingly handcrafted by me and other women, including a third generation casting company operated by a woman in California, in support of Hillary's life long efforts to improve the lives of all Americans.
A portion of all sales will be donated to the Hillary Clinton campaign.
