Oceanic Collection
A collection inspired by the vast beauty of the ocean that covers our planet, and the awesome and incredible sea life that lives within ocean waters.
This collection is made from a combination of cast metal from impressions and textures from actual shells. The Paua shell pieces I use come from the pristine cool waters of the south island of New Zealand/Aotearoa. It has beautiful iridescent hues of blue, green, aqua, gold and purple. It is known for its healing properties, and is thought to promote prosperity, clarity, wisdom. The indigenous Maori have used it for centuries in their traditional artwork and carvings, and it is considered to be a treasure from the sea.
